Homemade Banana - Granola
Granola is just my favourite quick breakfast. Whenever I'm in a rush I just grab a bowl, throw in some granola and fresh fruit and I pour in some plant-milk. Voilá!
Even though I love cooking I have to admit that I am not the best baker. My family and I stopped counting the number of cookies and cakes that turned black in the oven, so you can trust me when I say: Homemade granola is one of the easiest things I have ever baked.
You will need:
- 2 cups of oats
- 1/2 cups of nuts & seeds
- 1/2 banana
- 2 table spoons of tahini
- 4 dates
- 2 big teaspoons of cinnamon
- a pinch of salt
- optional: one - two teaspoons of maple sirup if you prefer it sweeter
What you have to do:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C
2.Mix the oats, nuts and seeds together
3. Blend the dates, the tahini, the salt and the banana together in a food processor
4. Pour the mixture over the oats, make sure that all the oats, nuts and seeds are equally coated
5. Place everyting on a baking tray and bake until golden brown
6. If the granola turned into the desired colour, take it out of the oven and let it cool down.
7. Store in a dry and cool place. Enjoy!
